Job Description
Lead with Waldorf Astoria’s curated luxury ethos: Oversee all hotel operations to deliver exceptional and personalised guest experiences that embody the brand’s elevated character while fostering a guest-centric culture of storytelling, artistry, and high-touch service. Drive performance and profitability: Manage revenue, budgets, and cost controls to achieve financial targets while balancing operational efficiency with luxury guest experiences. Oversee property priorities: Lead capital projects, refurbishments, and service initiatives to maintain operational excellence and brand alignment. Set and execute strategic direction: Shape short- and long-term goals, making decisions in the best interests of the hotel, the Waldorf Astoria brand, and Hilton’s long-term vision. Inspire and develop talent: Provide visionary leadership to the executive team and all Team Members, embedding Hilton’s values and fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and belonging. Strengthen communication and collaboration: Hold regular briefings with the Heads of Department (HOD) team and maintain strong relationships with owners, auditors, and Hilton stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability. Commit to continuous improvement: Uphold and exceed Hilton and Waldorf Astoria service standards, respond to audits proactively, and drive innovation and operational integrity across the business. Hilton luxury brand General Managers lead with presence and purpose, represent the brand with distinction, inspire teams, and elevate the guest journey through thoughtful, intentional leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic and polished leader with a strong focus on owner relations, commercial performance, and operational excellence. Proven General Manager experience in luxury hospitality, ideally with Waldorf Astoria or comparable luxury brands (preferably Forbes rated and Virtuoso affiliated). Alternatively, candidates with proven GM experience in upscale full service hotels and a solid understanding of luxury maybe be considered. Culturally adaptable and emotionally intelligent, with extensive multi market expertise and a proven ability to lead diverse teams in complex environments, with strong preference of experience operating in Russia/CIS markets. Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a deep understanding of luxury operations with a sharp eye for detail and commitment to anticipatory, personalised service. Ability to build strong networks and relationships with owners, contractors, corporate partners, and be a visible ambassadorial presence in the local community. Operationally strong and hands on, with the credibility to lead from the front, coupled with exceptional talent leadership to attract, develop, and retain top performers while embedding Hilton’s culture and values. Robust business acumen with experience in budget management, revenue forecasting, and strategic planning for a property of similar scale. Resilient and independent in judgment, with the ability to operate autonomously while balancing strategic vision with effective operational execution. A Bachelor’s degree or Masters is required for the visa application process. Fluency in English (spoken and written) and Russian would be an advantage.
