Job Description
A Housekeeping Attendant will support all Housekeeping and Laundry with guest requests analyzing each request and delegating between the team members, so that work can be done in an efficient and timely manner ensuring an exceptional experience for our Guests. As Housekeeping Attendant, you will perform various cleaning duties within the Housekeeping department. The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites and you will also be responsible to report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with standards. Specifically, a Housekeeping Attendant will perform the following tasks to the highest standards. Ensures that the cleanliness of the assigned rooms/suites are held consistently to the high operating standards. Actively works on available and released Rooms for Guest Service along with the Floor Housekeeping Supervisor instructions. Cleans rooms/ suites, as assigned, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming where necessary and washing windows / tracks. Reports rooms as clean and available Monitor and comply with the appearance, standards of the Housekeeping department with an emphasis on team work. Check maid cart for supplies, stock as needed. Strip dirty linens / towels and remove used amenities from room/suite. Replenish linen and guest amenities. Empties and cleans trash containers. Dusts and polishes all furniture and chrome. Sweep and mop floors. Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement. Clean balconies and all balconies furniture, windows surfaces and cleans the floor. Cleans the bathroom vanities, basin, toilet and shower door. Scrubs the tile floors. Disinfects bathroom surfaces and floor. Replaces bathroom supplies if necessary. Cleans and maintains all appliances. Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests). Reports and turns in all lost and found items which are left behind by guests. Provides excellent guest service at all times. Performs all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. A Housekeeping Attendant serving Hilton is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. Planning and organizing. Good oral and written communication. Previous experience in Housekeeping. Good interpersonal skills. Proficiency, at intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office. Committed to delivering a high level of customer service. Ability to work in a team. Excellent attention to detail. Positive Attitude. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities and local attractions. Assist co-workers, as requested. QUALIFICATIONS. Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary. Experience: 6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred. Skills: Must be physically strong. Able to communicate in English; speak, read, write English is a plus. Also able to communicate in Spanish and Papiamento.
