Job Description
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the proactive sales and promotion of hotel rooms, events, catering, and other hotel services. This role supports the Director of Sales in leading the Sales team, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the successful execution of corporate, leisure, MICE, social and group business. The Senior Sales Manager acts as a brand ambassador for NoMad Singapore, building strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders while ensuring exceptional service delivery and commercial success. Promote and sell all hotel products and services, including guestrooms, restaurant offerings, event spaces, catering and group business. Achieve individual and team sales targets as established by the Director of Sales and Commercial leadership team. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and maximise revenue opportunities. Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections and presentations to existing and prospective clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and follow-up. Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts and other sales documentation accurately and efficiently. Maintain updated account information, sales activities and opportunities within the hotel sales systems. Represent NoMad Singapore at networking events, trade shows, sales missions and industry functions where required. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify business opportunities. SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. Identify and secure new corporate, MICE, leisure, social and travel trade business opportunities. Manage assigned accounts and ensure maximum account penetration and revenue generation. Conduct market research and analyse customer needs to develop targeted sales strategies. Work collaboratively with Revenue Management and Reservations teams to optimise business mix and pricing strategies. Support the negotiation and contracting process to ensure business conversion and client satisfaction. Monitor account production and provide regular sales activity and performance reports. Maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities across all hotel outlets and services. CLIENT & EVENT COORDINATION. Ensure seamless coordination between clients and hotel operations teams for all confirmed events and group bookings. Communicate client requirements clearly to operational departments to ensure successful event execution. Conduct pre-event planning meetings and follow-up with clients throughout the planning process. Handle client feedback, concerns and service recovery professionally and promptly. Welcome key clients, VIP guests and event organisers when required. Ensure all contractual agreements and billing arrangements are accurate and properly documented. LEADERSHIP & TEAM COLLABORATION. Support the Director of Sales in leading, motivating and developing the Sales team. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members where required. Foster strong communication and collaboration between Sales and operational departments. Participate actively in departmental meetings, sales strategy discussions and business reviews. Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve departmental performance and guest satisfaction. Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members where required. ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING. Maintain accurate sales records, account files and activity reports. Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports and forecasts as required. Ensure all sales contracts, proposals and correspondence are professionally prepared and filed. Monitor business trends and provide feedback to management regarding market conditions and opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and brand standards. Represent NoMad Singapore with professionalism, confidence and authenticity at all times. Build lasting relationships with guests and clients through personalised service and attention to detail. Ensure all interactions reflect the values and service philosophy of NoMad. Maintain high standards of communication, presentation and professionalism. Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and sales acumen. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times. Build and nurture strong internal and external relationships. Take ownership of assigned accounts and business opportunities. Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organisation. Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Uphold company values and contribute positively to team culture. Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing or a related field preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably within luxury or lifestyle hospitality brands. Experience handling corporate, MICE, leisure or group business segments. Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Strong knowledge of hotel sales systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong market knowledge and established client relationships are advantageous. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. QUALIFICATIONS. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
