Job Description
A Bakery Chef is responsible for managing preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality breads, pastries, desserts, and baked goods for hotel outlets, banquets, and events while seeking customer feedback, training staff, controlling costs, and covering all business needs. This role ensures consistent product quality, attractive presentation, and adherence to food safety and hotel standards while supporting daily operations and special functions. A Bakery Chef will also be required to ensure that all operational, quality, and administrative functions are carried out properly. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked goods according to hotel recipes and standards. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, appearance, and portion control. Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal offerings. Monitor proofing, baking times, temperatures, and product quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and equipment in compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations. Control food costs by minimizing waste and properly managing ingredients. Coordinate with kitchen and banquet teams to meet daily production and event requirements. Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation. Train and supervise junior bakery staff or commis as assigned. Follow all hotel policies, hygiene standards, and workplace safety procedures. A Bakery Chef serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. Proven experience as a Bakery Chef in a hotel, resort, or high-volume kitchen. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required. Good time management and ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail and passion for quality presentation. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Knowledge of current food trends. High level of IT proficiency.
