Job Description
The ideal Senior Sous Chef candidate is a proven culinary leader with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably within a hotel environment. This individual demonstrates natural leadership, confidently managing and developing teams while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. As Senior Sous Chef, you would be responsible for leading the culinary team at SER Steak + Spirits in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent execution of all menu items in a high-volume, upscale environment. Supervise, train, and develop culinary team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and teamwork. Lead by example on the line, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation. Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, recipe standardization, and seasonal updates. Monitor inventory levels, ordering, and product quality to control costs and minimize waste. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Visually inspect, select and use quality food and beverage products including, but not limited to, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and spices. Recruit, interview and train team members. Quality.
