Job Description
As our Director of Sales - Events, you’ll be at the helm of our dynamic events team, orchestrating seamless planning and execution of diverse occasions. As the Director of Sales - Events, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Event Strategy & Planning. Strategically position the hotel as a premier destination for events through innovative marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships. Lead the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery that meets guest expectations and reflects the hotel’s brand standards. Team Leadership & Development. Lead, train, and mentor the events team to consistently deliver exceptional guest service while achieving revenue targets. Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department. Build and nurture strong relationships with guests, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and preferences to deliver personalized event solutions. Manage guest inquiries, conduct site inspections, and provide expert guidance throughout the event planning journey to ensure a seamless and memorable experience. Budget & Revenue Management. Oversee event budgets and cost controls, ensuring profitability while maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to effectively promote event offerings, drive bookings, and support revenue growth. Coordinate seamlessly with internal departments including Food & Beverage, Audio-Visual, and Housekeeping to ensure smooth and efficient event execution. Conduct regular reviews of event operations to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance overall service delivery. Innovation & Creativity. Stay ahead of industry trends by introducing cutting-edge ideas that elevate the guest experience and enhance event offerings. Design unique event packages and concepts that set the hotel apart in a competitive market and appeal to diverse guest preferences. Compliance & Standards. Ensure all events adhere to hotel policies, safety regulations, and brand standards, maintaining excellence in service and operations. Maintain accurate documentation of events and provide timely reports to senior management to support transparency and continuous improvement. Guest Satisfaction. Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction levels to ensure consistent service excellence and foster long-term loyalty. Address concerns and resolve challenges promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive guest experience throughout the event journey. A Director of Sales - Events serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. Brings a wealth of experience in event planning and management, with expertise developed within a prestigious 5-star luxury international hotel chain. Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Demonstrates deep knowledge of the local client base, with strong expertise in market analysis and strategic insights to support business growth. Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret sales data and identify emerging trends. Well-versed in political, economic, and social dynamics, with a strong understanding of evolving market trends and their impact on the hospitality industry. Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
