Job Description
This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth month-end closings, and strong financial controls, while supporting and guiding the Finance team in line with Hilton standards. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Director of Finance will contribute to operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement within the Finance Department. Key Responsibilities. Support the direction and control of Finance Department operations to improve efficiency and productivity. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end closing processes. Prepare, review, and present monthly and periodic financial reports. Assist in maintaining strong financial controls and accurate accounting records. Represent the Finance Department in the absence of the Director of Finance. Oversee daily activities of the Finance team, providing guidance and support as required. Coordinate month-end closing activities in accordance with Hilton policies and timelines. Prepare and file monthly and periodic financial statements, reports, and reconciliations. Review banking transactions and manage cash flow in line with company procedures. Review month-end account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data. Monitor statutory requirements, legal taxes, and related financial reporting obligations. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and supporting documentation is maintained. Liaise with other departments to obtain financial and operational data when required. Proven experience in hotel finance or a similar role, preferably within an international or luxury hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. Strong leadership and team management skills. High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking. Proficiency in financial systems and MS Office applications. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
