Engineer Trainee - Hilton Chicago

An Engineer Trainee assists Operation Engineers in the hotel and trains with Operation Engineers/trade mechanics to learn to maintain the physical functionality of the facility including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Learns how to inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house for areas to repair, touch up or replace. Performs a variety of repair and maintenance and cleaning tasks including HVAC and masonry. Inspects guestrooms, public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance. Maintains detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments. Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program. Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention. Shift pattern: Person must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes AM, PM, weekends and holidays. What are we looking for?
