Job Description
The Florist operates the flower shop, workshop and facilities the overall daily flower shop operations in line with Hilton and the hotel policies and procedures. As the Florist, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Do flower arrangements for guestrooms, outlets, banquet functions and all areas of the hotel. Fulfill guests’ and customer’s flower orders and arrangement needs. Carry out routine checks on the outlet’s and hotel’s flower arrangement needs. Control the daily order and quantity of flowers, avoid wastage and reuse flowers as much as possible. Make sure flowers are stored in the right way. Complete all jobs on time in accordance with the time schedule given. Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and team members. Manage and water as necessary the flower arrangements daily. Fulfill flower orders from internal or external customers. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness at both the flower shop and workshop. Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. Adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, Hilton code of business conduct, the hotel’s team member handbook, security and emergency policies and procedures. A Florist serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. At least 3 years of experience in the same position in a 5-star international branded hotel or comparable industry related experience. Artistic eye for color, shape, and combining elements; understanding design principles. Understanding of plant needs, seasonality, and care to ensure longevity. Good business acumen on marketing, management, and social media skills. Detail-oriented, organized, good time management, works well with hands and others. Able and willing to learn new skills well and quickly. Must be physically fit and able to work long hours. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good team player. Able to work independently and possess strong ownership.
