As a bartender, you will bring creativity and precision to each drink, deliver flawless service, and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere that makes our bar a destination in itself. As the Speciality Bartender, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Assist the Assistant Restaurant Manager in daily bar operations in accordance with hotel policies and Waldorf Astoria luxury service standards. Prepare and serve cocktails and beverages with precision, consistency, and refined presentation. Ensure proper bar mise-en-place, cleanliness, and readiness prior to each service period. Maintain high standards in beverage preparation, garnish execution, and service rituals. Engage guests at the bar and provide personalised beverage recommendations. Support execution of cocktail promotions, guest activations, and special events. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service standards. Leadership & Culture. Support the Assistant Restaurant Manager in mentoring junior bartenders and barbacks. Contribute to a positive, creative, and collaborative team environment. Participate actively in cocktail trainings, menu briefings, and product knowledge sessions. Maintain high grooming and professionalism standards at all times. Administration. Assist in maintaining beverage recipes, preparation standards, and cocktail manuals. Support stock organisation, inventory checks, and bar requisition processes. Ensure proper use of POS systems and operational tools during service. Record guest preferences and feedback to support personalized service delivery. Financial & Cost Control. Promote upselling of premium spirits, signature cocktails, and beverage pairings. Support inventory control and minimise product wastage. Ensure accurate billing procedures and adherence to financial controls. Guest & Team Experience. Deliver engaging and anticipatory service aligned with Waldorf Astoria luxury standards. Build rapport with guests through cocktail storytelling and beverage knowledge. Support handling of VIP guests and special requests with professionalism and discretion. Follow hotel safety and sanitation standards in all bar operations. Ensure proper handling and storage of spirits, ingredients, and bar equipment. Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly. Communication & Collaboration. Maintain effective communication with service team, kitchen, and management. Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and operational briefings. Represent the bar professionally in all guest interactions. Support sustainability initiatives and brand campaigns. Stay updated on global cocktail trends and beverage innovations. Assist in pre-opening setup, menu tastings, and concept implementation. Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head Bartender or management. A Specialty Bartender serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. Passion for mixology, cocktail craftsmanship, and luxury guest service. Good knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, and modern techniques. Strong interpersonal and guest engagement skills. Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays. Well-groomed, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS systems.
