Job Description
As Safety and Security Manager, you will be entrusted with safeguarding the well‑being of Guests, Members, Team Members, and assets across assigned hotels. You will provide expert leadership across all aspects of security, safety, and risk management, ensuring an environment that is discreetly protected, fully compliant, and operationally resilient. In this role, you will oversee security and safety operations, manage incident investigations, and liaise professionally with enforcement and regulatory authorities. You will be responsible for delivering the following to the highest standards of luxury hospitality and governance. Manage all guest and internal accident and incident records, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to legal and corporate standards . Lead and guide investigations relating to criminal activity at property level, ensuring integrity, discretion, and procedural compliance . Oversee safety, security, and risk management programmes, including health and safety, food hygiene, fire safety, public health, trading standards, disability access, and regulatory compliance across assigned hotels . Support and conduct investigations to protect company‑owned and managed assets, providing expert guidance to hotel leadership . Act as the primary liaison with local enforcement and statutory authorities for inspections, audits, and incident investigations . Analyse incident and accident data to identify trends, assess risk exposure, and allocate preventive resources effectively . Provide specialist support to hotel operations, including crisis management, statutory training, supplier approvals, and risk mitigation strategies . Implement and maintain robust safety, fire, and security management systems in line with corporate policy and best practice . Proactively reduce safety‑related guest concerns and complaints through preventative action and continuous improvement . Conduct comprehensive audits to validate full compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and brand standards . Deliver structured safety and security training to managers, supervisors, and team members to embed awareness and accountability . A minimum of five years’ experience in safety, security, or a related discipline within the hospitality sector . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and diplomatically with guests and colleagues . Capacity to work autonomously and exercise professional judgement . Demonstrated experience managing sensitive interactions requiring patience, tact, and emotional intelligence . Strong expertise in safety and security management, including fire safety and risk assessments . Ability to conduct detailed investigations and act as the subject‑matter expert for safety and security across assigned hotels . Commitment to developing others through coaching, training identification, and ongoing professional support . Proactive participation in continuous training and professional development . Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to accurately document critical information . Thorough knowledge of hotel layouts, facilities, emergency planning, and the surrounding local area . Advanced computer literacy for reporting, correspondence, presentations, and internal communication . Physical capability to perform essential job functions over extended periods . High attention to detail and situational awareness to assess behaviour, operations, and emerging risk . University degree in Safety, Security, or a related discipline . Advanced certification in Fire Safety Management and Risk Assessment . In‑depth knowledge of safety legislation and regulatory frameworks . Prior experience working within Hilton Safety and Security standards .
