Individual key responsibilities

• Responsible for activities associated with developing and supporting assigned standard reports/dashboards for Global Finance BI &EPM systems to support the reporting strategy 

• Ensures the User Experience is optimized at all times for assigned reports/dashboards including system performance monitoring, easy navigation and engaging user interface (GUI) in line with design standards and best practices. 

• Monitors industry trends and implements best practices to improve in-house capabilities. 

• Collaborates with GT peers to ensure appropriate overall architecture of the BI tool satisfies reporting requirements for assigned projects • Executes report change management governance policy and associated controls, ensuring SOX compliance and a clean audit.

Key shared responsibilities

• Delivery of Global Finance BI/EPM reporting strategic priorities or assigned projects 

• Delivery of Winning Metrics reporting (finance and non-finance data) for assigned projects

• Global Technology application developers, data architects, data modellers, project managers, offshore testing teams 

• IDT Business Analysts and Technical Support teams 

• Finance Business Support and FP&A teams 

• Internal & external Audit

Critical knowledge and experience

• Extensive knowledge and demonstrated deep experience with BI & EPM reporting tools i.e. Tableau, OAC, OBIEE, DataVisualizer, Java plugs • Demonstrated knowledge of screen design, lay out and optimal GUI in a performance metric environment 

• Demonstrated knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Informatica tool, RDBMS and/or multi-dimensional database 

• Knowledge of SOX/SOC to ensure compliance with reporting change management policies and system documentation 

• Experience with complex projects and process improvement initiatives with strong results delivery 

• Experience working with cross-functional teams in multiple locations, driving system or cultural change, and challenging & communicating with senior leadership in a complex project matrix organisation 

• Good understanding of IHG’s global systems both Finance & non Finance

Key metrics:

• Delivery on established deadlines for BI/EPM report development assigned requests (finance and non-finance data) 

• Annual End User Experience Index for the segment of system functionality. 

• Proper system documentation 

• No SOX control or Audit related exceptions

Organizational parameters:

• Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial process and hospitality accounting (USALI). 

• Process re-engineering & requirements gathering activity, project work. 

• Deep BI/ EPM Systems knowledge and ability to access and interpret data analytics. (Op model parameters) 

• Strong hybrid to navigate between Finance & technology & key system owners 

• Effective and timely support from direct and indirect GT teams to enable delivery

Work Model: This position offers a hybrid setup—4 days in-office for collaboration and connection, and 1 remote day each week.
