Supporting GMSS by developing and managing paid media campaigns across industry leading social media platforms


Key Accountabilities


For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will be responsible for developing and managing paid media campaigns across industry leading social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Twitter. As a social media specialist, you will be providing campaign level support, setup and optimization in support of multiple IHG brands and internal lines of business driving engagement, awareness and direct response revenue or customer acquisition opportunities. You will provide support to the Social Media managers across reporting, billing, media planning and strategic paid and organic support where required as well. You will also actively monitor and optimize paid social campaigns to meet KPIs, as well as setup and develop campaigns across brands. You will also be expected to stay on the leading edge of social media evolutions while advocating to external team members the benefits of in-house resources. Additional responsibilities include vendor management, collaboration across the content, community management, social team and campaign planning teams.


Key Skills & Experiences


Education -


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.


Experience –


3 to 5 years practical experience in developing or planning content for digital channels within a consumer brand. Experience with visual, textual and multimedia content and content management systems strongly preferred. Paid and organic social experience preferred. Travel/hospitality industry experience is a plus.


Required Skills –



  • Demonstrated expertise in interactive marketing and understanding of marketing across touch points.

  • Understanding of brand consistency across media and content types.

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Must be able to prepare and deliver solid presentations to small groups.

  • Must possess superior problem-solving skills, attention to detail and demonstrated experience in leading people.
