Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team to ensure timely service and a smooth, efficient restaurant operation.
Fully understand and adhere to all hotel policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Forbes, LQA, and Rosewood Brand Standards relating to guest service, operational procedures, personal discipline, and grooming.
Deliver every guest interaction in a warm, friendly, and welcoming manner, setting the tone for an elevated dining experience.
Maintain professional telephone etiquette and demonstrate a thorough understanding of reservation policies and procedures.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of the entire food and beverage menu, including daily specials and guest offerings.
Maintain full familiarity with all services offered within the restaurant and throughout the resort.
Greet and seat guests in a gracious and engaging manner, establishing an immediate sense of hospitality and care.
Ensure the restaurant entrance and host stand are consistently covered, visually appealing, and welcoming at all times.
Verify that all tables are clean, properly set, and presentation-ready before seating guests.
Proactively seek guest feedback regarding their dining experience, sharing any concerns with management while taking immediate action when appropriate.
Support service operations by assisting colleagues whenever needed and contributing to smooth service flow.
Consistently anticipate and exceed the needs of both guests and colleagues through attentive, proactive service.
Use sound judgment and initiative to resolve challenges calmly, efficiently, and professionally.
Demonstrate a collaborative mindset, actively contributing to the success of the team and overall operation.
Volunteer for additional responsibilities as required to support service excellence and team success.
Conduct all duties with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion at all times.
Uphold strict confidentiality regarding guest information and ensure it is never shared with unauthorized individuals.
Prioritize tasks effectively, maintaining strong organization, structure, and time management skills.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability.
Maintain a consistently positive and composed attitude, even under pressure.
Personally verify all work to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand standards.
Qualifications/Experience
Experience: Two - Three years’ experience in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality, preferably in a fine dining or high-end restaurant environment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a refined and professional demeanor.
Education: Must have completed secondary school education and preferably received a college education or taken applicable continuing education courses.
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Must have good eye for detail and be accurate and thorough in one’s work with good follow up.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
