Job Description
This position will report to the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage and will oversee the Pendulum 401 Restaurant and the Pratt & Perk Cafe/Market (approximately 10-15 front of house team members per shift). The ideal candidate for this position will possess one year of food and beverage leadership experience and/or a degree in hospitality management. Prior hotel leadership experience and union knowledge would be considered an asset for this role! Shift Pattern: full availability to work both morning and evening shifts on both weekdays and weekends is required for this position. As a Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for directing and organizing the activities and services of all hotel food and beverage outlets (restaurants, lounges, room service, coffee shop, etc.) Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules, and evaluates staff. Quality. Dependability. Customer Focus. Adaptability .
