As a Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering this complimentary service by providing friendly, efficient, and responsible beverage service. Your presence, professionalism, and attention to detail help create a positive social atmosphere that reflects Hilton and Embassy Suites service standards and leaves a lasting impression on our guests. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during the hotel’s Evening Reception and other assigned service periods. This role focuses on exceptional guest interaction, responsible alcohol service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant bar environment. The Bartender supports overall hotel operations by ensuring a smooth, enjoyable, and well-managed reception experience in alignment with Hilton brand standards and company policies. Guest Service & Experience. Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly, professional interaction. Create a welcoming, relaxed, and social atmosphere during Evening Reception. Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions and requests. Monitor guest consumption and address inebriated guests professionally and discreetly in accordance with responsible service guidelines. Prepare and serve complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Embassy Suites and Hilton standards. Follow established recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines. Maintain knowledge of Evening Reception beverage offerings and service procedures. Verify guest identification and comply with all federal, state, local, and company alcohol service laws and regulations. Bar Operations & Inventory Control. Stock, organize, and maintain bar inventory including beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and paper products. Cut, store, rotate, and maintain quality of beverage-related perishables. Monitor product usage and communicate replenishment needs to leadership. Support waste reduction and proper portion control practices. Sanitation, Safety & Compliance. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized bar and reception area at all times. Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Report maintenance, safety, or equipment issues promptly. Participate in setup, breakdown, and cleanup of the Evening Reception area. Teamwork & Operational Support. Work collaboratively with Food & Beverage leadership and hotel departments to support smooth Evening Reception operations. Assist with guest flow management and overall reception organization as needed. Support special events or coverage needs when assigned. Candidates must be available to work evening shifts during this time frame, including weekends and holidays. Requirements & Qualifications. Previous bartending or beverage service experience preferred. Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and applicable laws. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 25–50 lbs. Experience in a hotel or branded hospitality environment. TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or similar responsible alcohol service certification. Key Responsibilities. High school diploma or GED required.
